How we verify

Every fact on this site comes from an official or open-data source, and every page says which one.

Updated 4 October 2026 · checked against GOV.UK guidance · by Agustin Mendez

Jobcentre addresses

The directory is built from the official DWP Find your nearest jobcentre service. Because it only searches by postcode, we ran it postcode by postcode, starting from historical DWP office registers and every postcode found along the way, and kept only the offices the finder itself returned. The latest check was on 3 October 2026. Offices that appear in older lists but were not returned by the finder are not published.

The DWP finder only accepts a full postcode, one search at a time (captured 4 October 2026).

Areas and maps

The region, local authority and parliamentary constituency of each office come from postcodes.io, which is based on the ONS Postcode Directory. Map pins mark the postcode, not the exact entrance, and we say so on every map. Distances are straight-line distances between postcodes.

What is not published

DWP does not publish opening times or a direct phone number for individual jobcentres. We do not invent them or copy them from other sites. Office pages show the opening days DWP gave Parliament (Monday to Friday, Saturdays only where agreed, not Sundays), the phone line the DWP finder lists, and a link to the office in Google Maps, where times are often listed, with a reminder to check them against your appointment.

Guides

Rules, phone numbers and amounts (for example sanction daily rates) come from GOV.UK pages linked at the bottom of each guide. We do not use forums or third-party sites as a source for rules.

Corrections
